This position provides direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patient populations. Serves as the patient's advocate in the surgical environment; addresses psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously. Assists with maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met; monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.
Position requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a BS in Nursing, current RN licensure in the State of Texas; current BLS certification; minimum one year's experience in the operating room. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; additional languages desirable; basic computer knowledge.
